Easy Shrimp & Pasta

Easy Shrimp & Pasta

1 lb peeled and deveined shrimp - RAW - about 33-44 count (That just means that's about how many shrimp you'll get in 1 pound)
1 tsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1/2 cup flour
1 tbsp red pepper flakes
1/4 cup diced jalapeno (optional)
1/4 cub dehydrated garlic flakes (if you can't find them, fresh garlic is the same. I just like the convenience of the dehydrated garlic)
1/3 cup heavy cream
salt & pepper

1 lb spaghetti or linguine

Bring a large pot of water to a boil for the pasta - be sure to SALT THE WATER! Once boiling, add pasta. Just follow the instructions on the box.

In a medium skillet, melt butter and heat olive oil over medium heat-high heat. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt and pepper. Toss shrimp in flour mixture, enough to coat shrimp. Sautee coated shrimp in oil/butter mixture. Then add the garlic and jalapeno. Cook the shrimp until opaque - what does that mean? Cook the shrimp until they turn a whiteish color and the dark parts turn pink. let sit on low for about 3 minutes, then add the cream.

Serve pasta in soup bowls and top with shrimp mixture. Enjoy!
