It's an exciting time to be a country music fan with Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, The Zac Brown Band, Lady Antebellum and other newer artists making big moves in the genre.  This year promises to be a special year at Club Rodeo with more concerts than ever, most of them free and right here in San Jose!

As for me, I've been at KRTY just about 10 years now and each day is better than the last.  Seeing listeners out and about whether at a station event or crossing paths at the grocery store, it's always fun to interact with folks!  I enjoy hearing stories about family vacations or Uncle Ned and Aunt Florence from Georgia who heard the station while visiting or getting that invite to the family bbq at the park next weekend!  Always a good time!

Expectations:
If you're going to wear a cowboy hat and wranglers PLEASE throw on some boots, it's just not the same with tennis shoes!
Show up at the club ready to party, no sitting in the corner!  Concert time or anytime at Club Rodeo it's a party..  The mechanical bull is in place on Friday nights, more concerts than any other club and the best bartenders in town make Club Rodeo THE party spot for country music!
Be proud of your country!  And your country music!  Keep the dial on KRTY for local information on events, concerts, contests and just plain HOT country music!

Favorite foods:
Steak, mashed potatos, corn, salad, bbq beans and french bread, the BEST meal ever!
Pizza or bbq'd blue cheese burgers watching the Sharks, Cowboys or Univ. Texas football ain't so bad either!
Food NO-GO's:
Yo-guuuurt  (just not my thing, not bad but give me the real deal  ICE CREAM!)
Spinach (doesn't matter WHAT kind of sauce you put on it don't put it on my plate!)
Wardrobe:
Don't own a suit, wranglers, boots, buckles and cowboy hats take up all the space in my closet.  Can't wear cowboy clothes not going to the event!
First concert:
Beach Boys circa 1970 - memories:  not many, the band was good my date was hot, was there anything else?

The best to you and yours.
Have a great 2010!
